Firstly and most proud to say
I am a mum to 3 amazing children. A certified Personal Trainer, Psychotherapist and Hypnotherapist with a diverse career that includes serving with The Thames Valley Police, caring for The Royal Household’s horses and 6 years as a Carer in the community, I have always been driven by a passion, caring for and helping others.
My journey into mental wellness began personally, having experienced the transformative power of hypnotherapy first hand to stop smoking 21 years ago and I have not smoked since!
I have struggled with anxiety most of my life which led to panic attacks, insomnia, lack of confidence and emotional eating. I tried many things to help myself from slimming clubs, self help books, counselling and talking therapies.
My transformation began when I decided to learn how to get strong physically, I had run in the past and lost weight, improved my anxiety but I still struggled and couldn’t help myself at times, leading to avoidance, depression and destructive eating patterns.
I felt I needed this and had read about the importance of strength training as you age and it’s powerful effect on mental health. I struggled to afford the sessions but I found myself a Personal Trainer at her home and she taught me how to lift weights, I loved it!
I quickly got stronger, my body began to change and I noticed a mental clarity, wellbeing that I had not been able to feel ever before!
After trying various therapy options and lots of research, I wanted something that was proven to work, evidence based and positive. I had a goal to reach, I didn’t want to see a therapist forever, I wanted to be able to help myself.
I found a therapist who used Psychotherapy with Hypnosis, it worked for me instantly and along with my regular exercise, transformed my life! Finally able to lose weight, maintain it and sleep soundly at night, regulate my emotions, coping with anxiety and stress in a healthy, effective way.
CBT helped me to understand my feelings, to notice my thought patterns and change my way of thinking to a more positive, solution focused pattern.
Understanding my emotions was the missing puzzle piece. Through guided self reflection, testing new behaviours, using Hypnotherapy to reprogramme and reinforce the CBT therapy at a subconscious level.
My mind began to shift in a short time frame, my life began to improve, I started to feel less anxious, more confident and able to live my life fully, knowing I have the skills to help myself.
I had such a profound experience on my journey, I couldn’t possibly keep this to myself and this ultimately led me to qualify as a Personal Trainer. Through my career as a PT teaching strength training, I noticed most clients were having these same struggles with anxiety, sleep issues and emotional eating, preventing them from reaching full potential with weight management, relationships and stress. I qualified with a higher certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Hypnotherapy (CBH) at The UK College of Hypnotherapy, London in 2025 and now share my powerful, life transforming therapy all over the world!
